Counseling in Sioux Falls and across South Dakota

You don’t have to carry this alone.

Life’s challenges—whether they shake your faith, disrupt your peace, or leave you feeling overwhelmed—can be deeply isolating. At Qavah Counseling, you get a compassionate space where you can slow down, feel safe, and be seen. Whether you’re navigating grief, anxiety, spiritual questions, or relational pain, this is a place where you can explore healing without fear of judgment.

I’m Tabatha—a pre-licensed Christian counselor and spiritual care provider. I’ve walked through darkness myself, and I know the courage it takes to reach out. Let’s walk together.

You keep showing up—but it’s getting harder to ignore the emptiness inside.

You’ve learned how to function, how to stay strong, how to keep things moving even when your heart is heavy. Maybe you’re smiling on the outside while silently wondering if anyone sees how lost or tired you feel. On the inside, you may feel numb, directionless, or spiritually disconnected. You might be grieving something that doesn’t have words—a loss, a transition, a sense of who you once were.

Maybe your faith feels distant, or your emotions feel too heavy to untangle. You’ve been surviving by staying busy, keeping it together, and putting on a brave face. But deep down, your soul is tired of striving and aching for something deeper, more meaningful, more whole.

You’ve done what it takes to get through. Now it’s time to slow down and truly heal.

Imagine stepping out from under the weight of others’ expectations and finally breathing fully in your own skin. Imagine moving through life with quiet confidence, not needing to prove yourself or earn your worth. What if your healing wasn’t rushed—but honored? What if your faith didn’t have to be perfect to be alive?

You were never meant to walk through this alone or to carry your story in silence. There is space here for the real you—your doubts, your hope, your heart. And from that place, you can begin again… walking freely, faithfully, and fully in your own shoes.

There is a gentler way forward.

A Space to Grow—Emotionally and Spiritually

In our individual counseling sessions, you’ll have the space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand your inner world more deeply. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface so you can move toward greater clarity, healing, and peace.

As a Christian counselor, I bring biblical principles into our work in a way that feels natural and supportive—never forced. Whether faith is central to your life or something you're still figuring out, you're welcome here.

During our time together, you can:

  • Recognize and gently challenge negative thought patterns

  • Learn practical tools to manage anxiety and overwhelm

  • Process difficult emotions and experiences in a safe space

  • Explore the spiritual and emotional layers of grief

  • Develop healthy ways to cope with loss and change

Let’s begin the work of healing—together, with purpose and hope.

Providing services for your different needs

At Qavah Counseling, you’ll find faith-based mental health support through individual counseling, group therapy, and intensive sessions in South Dakota and online. Specialties include Christian counseling, grief counseling, anxiety, trauma, and spiritual struggles.

I also provide Spiritual Care—a unique offering that supports your spiritual formation and intimacy with God through practices like prayer, biblical meditation, and reflective guidance. Whether you're seeking emotional healing or spiritual growth, you’ll find a compassionate, Christ-centered space tailored to your journey.

No matter the service, the heart of this work is to help you experience emotional and spiritual breakthroughs, build resilience, and feel more grounded—both in yourself and in your relationship with God. You’ll leave each session with greater clarity, practical tools, and a renewed sense of hope for the road ahead.

In-person and remote options

My office is conveniently located in Sioux Falls, SD. Can’t make it into the office? No worries – I also offer both counseling sessions virtually across South Dakota and spiritual care sessions online across the globe.

Meet Tabatha

Hi, I'm Tabatha, a pre-licensed counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate difficult life transitions and uncertainty, like the grieving process.

At Qavah Life, I understand that it's easy to get caught up in the demands of daily life and lose sight of what's truly important. That’s why I offer a way forward building hope in the midst of life’s uncertainty. I offer both grief counseling and Christian counseling in South Dakota and I offer Spiritual Care sessions for those looking to go deeper into their faith.
